General Science & Ability Book

General Science and Ability syllabus has been revised, expanded, made more relevant and quite admittedly made more interesting.

It has always been labelled as a scoring subject, well, that fact stands true even after revision as greater focus has been placed on understanding the concepts than rote learning “fancy scientific mnemonics”. Though the syllabus is a lot more than what students had to deal with previously,it has been divided into general science and ability (logical reasoning, quantitative ability and mental ability) therefore, those candidates who are not very good at science still stand a chance of scoring well by working on the analytical part of the paper.

Selective studying is highly recommended for this subject.

I have attached the Common Science book by Carlton Washburne in this post. This is one of the suggested resource books, and it is a great place to prepare for short answers.
